You never know what will happen next or the beauty that will come through a lens. I was getting my blind in place across a small inlet on the Darbonne National Wildlife Refuge when I notice this eagle circling nearby. He was being harassed by a group of crows and eventually landed across from me. I had hoped that he would come near for a photo shoot but he did not cooperate. I zoomed in as close as I could and took this shot. Even more than the impression of seeing an eagle I could not help but be in awe of the beauty of the natural background. How I would have loved to have had him up close or one of the mallard ducks I had come to photograph. I am still in awe every time I enter God's world and see the designs of his hands. Who else could paint such beauty. Just another day in the life of the wildlife photographer.
