CAMPFIRE CHAT
Snakes are always a concern to the wildlife photographer. This was no more a fact than when I was two days on private lands in Northeast Louisiana. I had on my snake pants as a precaution because I was set up in a camo tent next to a pond in some fairly dense forest. Going in and coming out it seemed I was constantly confronting poisonous snakes in my path. After 6 encounters in two days, two of which almost resulted on me stepping on large water moccasins, I decided to leave the area to the snakes.  It wasn't worth the risk. Call me a coward or a very wise man. You can decide. Just another day in the life of a wildlife photo nut.
