Temple Baptist Church, Ruston, Louisiana

God opened the door for me to share the gospel using my slight of hand to the church family at First Baptist Church, Dubach. Pastor Terry Ganey asked me to come and speak at their his annual Harvest Festival. Several young people indicated that they had received Christ. It is always a great joy to see God move in people's lives.
Living life's greatest adventure involves being led by the Holy Spirit to do things that at the time you do not understand the purpose. When God led me to learn some simple gospel presentations using slight of hand I had no idea that I would be doing this almost everywhere I go. I realize that the ropes are a tool and cannot substitute for the word of God. I am always aware that it is the gospel that saves and the word of God is the sword of the Spirit. It is the truth that sets a person free. I praise God for the opportunity to serve him in this manner.

Recently I was asked by Jody Williams at Temple Baptist in Ruston to speak to their quarterly meeting of the Christian Hunters and Anglers Chapter. Their scheduled speaker had to cancel due to health issues and I was asked to take his place. It was a great time of fellowship. I was asked to share my wildlife photographs and my testimony with those who came.  I also used my slight of hand at Jody's request. I continue to be grateful that God takes whatever we give Him and uses it to His glory.

This was a special time of sharing Christ. The circumstances reminded me a great deal of Central America. I was doing my presentation from the top of a flatbed trailer to a crowd that was spread out. The circumstances were difficult but God blessed anyway.  When I drew close to the church their were four wheelers and anything that had wheels going up and down the country roads. Cars filled the area and games as well as cooking was going on everywhere. This rural church where Jerry Dark is pastor obviously was impacting their area for Christ.

An unusual thing happened in that I had the opportunity share with and pray with a man from my past. The son of one of our deacons at Tensas Baptist Church, where I was saved 55 years ago, was the first person I spoke to when I came up to the crowd. Neither one of us were aware of the connection until further into the conversation. He was there as a guest and did not live in the area. This was truly a divine appointment that left us both in awe.

Once again several indicated that they had received Christ and I rejoice in the opportunity to exalt Him.
